Tino Rangatiratanga (Māori Flag)-Represents self-determination, sovereignty and the enduring strength of Māori identity. The colours hold meaning — black for potential and Te Korekore, red for Te Ao Mārama and whakapapa, and white for balance and harmony.

 

He Whakaputanga (Declaration Flag): Represents unity, independence and the coming together of hapū under shared identity. It reflects leadership, collective strength and the assertion of Māori authority.
